Terms of service
Last updated:
These terms cover your use of fpvpidtune.com (“FPV PID Tune”, “we”) and any tune you buy. By using the site or the app you agree to them.
What FPV PID Tune does
FPV PID Tune connects to a Betaflight flight controller from your browser, backs up its settings, sets up flight logging, analyses a flight log and proposes PID and filter values. With a paid tune, it writes those values to the flight controller when you press Apply. It changes tuning settings only, never rates, modes, receiver, OSD, VTX, motor or ESC settings or firmware.
What you need
- A computer with desktop Chrome or Edge (they have Web Serial, which the app uses to talk to your quad).
- A USB cable that carries data, not a charge-only cable.
- A flight controller running Betaflight 4.3 or newer, with onboard flash or an SD card for logging.
Who can buy
You must be at least 18 to buy a tune, or have a parent’s or guardian’s permission. If you are under 16, ask a parent or guardian before you share a flight log or send us a quote.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for flying safely and legally, and for following the drone rules where you fly.
- Before tuning, make sure your quad is mechanically sound: props, motors, frame and wiring. A tune can’t make up for damaged hardware.
- After every Apply, do the first-flight check: arm on the ground from a few metres away, hover for about 20 seconds, then land and touch the motors. If anything seems wrong, press Undo.
- Only connect flight controllers you own or are allowed to change.
- Don’t provide unlawful content to the service.
Tunes and payment
- A tune costs $10 / €10 / £8, tax included, paid once through Stripe Checkout. It covers up to 10 completed rounds for one flight controller, identified by its unique ID, for 30 days from payment, and ends when the 30 days pass or its rounds are used, whichever comes first. Rounds left once the quad is tuned stay available until then. A tune allows at most 25 attempts at working out its rounds, including attempts that failed and were tried again.
- Before you pay, you see what we found in your flight and what this round will tune. The AI runs only after you pay: the exact values, their reasons, Apply and the CLI need a paid tune.
- The values are proposed by an AI model and checked against fixed safety limits before you can apply them. You decide whether to apply them and whether to fly.
- Restoring your original backup is always free.
- We sometimes share promotion codes, for example on social media. A code gives the discount and runs until the date stated where it was shared, and is entered at checkout. The regular price is $10 / €10 / £8. One code per purchase, and the refund policy applies to the price you paid.
- When you buy, you ask us to show your tune straight away and confirm you understand you can’t cancel once it’s shown. Refunds follow the refund policy: full refund within 14 days if your quad flies worse at the end of the tune, once per flight controller.
Withdrawing from a purchase
You can withdraw from a purchase within 14 days without giving a reason, until your tune is shown. Because you ask us to show it straight away, that right ends once it is shown. To withdraw before then, use “Withdraw from this purchase” on your account page, or email us (the model withdrawal form is on the refund policy). We confirm by email and refund the full amount to your original payment method within 14 days.
If a tune isn’t as described
If a tune isn’t as described or doesn’t work, you have your statutory rights as a consumer: to have it brought into line, to a lower price, or to end the contract and get a refund. Ourrefund promise is extra and doesn’t take any of these away.
Complaints
To complain (reklamacja), email support@fpvpidtune.com. Tell us what went wrong and the email address of your account. We reply within 14 days; if we don’t, your complaint is treated as accepted.
If we can’t agree, you can get free help out of court. In Poland: your local consumer ombudsman (miejski or powiatowy rzecznik konsumentów) or the Trade Inspection (Wojewódzki Inspektorat Inspekcji Handlowej). In another EU country, Iceland or Norway: the European Consumer Centre of your country. In the UK: Citizens Advice. You can also go to court.
Liability
Tunes are computed from your flight data and checked against safety limits, but we can’t promise a particular result on every quad. We are liable for our own breach of these terms, as the law requires. We are not responsible for damage caused by:
- how the quad is flown,
- hardware faults,
- changes made outside the app, or
- skipping the first-flight check and Undo described above.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow to be limited, or rights you have as a consumer that can’t be limited by contract.
Accounts
You can connect, fly and see your results without an account; you sign in when you unlock a tune. Keep access to your email or Google account secure. You can export your data or delete your account at any time from the account page. The account costs nothing; deleting it also ends that contract.
Starting and ending the contract
The contract for the service starts when you first use the site or sign in. You can end it at any time by deleting your account on the account page. Buying a tune is a separate contract for that tune; see the refund policy.
Independence
FPV PID Tune is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Betaflight. Betaflight and other names are used only to describe compatibility.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and material changes are announced on the site. These terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim there.
